At Cloud 9 Salon we pride ourselves in providing our clients with the highest quality salon and spa services available. We want our clients experience to be second to none and ensure that all of their questions are addressed before their appointment. Below are some of the most common questions we’ve received over the years. Of course if you do not find an answer to your question below please do not hesitate to give us a call and someone will be happy to help.

What are your hours?

Monday – Thursday: 8:30 to 7pm Friday: 8:30 to 5pm Saturday: 8:30 to 4. Extended hours are available for evening appointments.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Absolutely! Salon and spa treatments are the perfect gift. Purchase a Cloud 9 Salon and Spa Gift Certificate Online, or feel free to stop by the salon to purchase it in person. We gladly offer gift certificate credit toward all Cloud 9 Salon & Spa services and products. We encourage recipients to use certificates within one year of purchase.

What if I have lost my gift certificate?

Your certificate is considered the same as cash. We cannot guarantee that Cloud 9 will be able to find the transaction due to circumstances beyond our control.  It is necessary to keep track of this valuable property.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Cloud 9 Salon and Spa Gift Cards.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule your appointment by phone, in person or by email.

Are reservations necessary?

We highly recommend making reservations in advance, but feel free to call on short notice, as we may have an opening or cancellation.

Can I book extra services while I am at the Salon/Spa?

Absolutely, please ask! We will always try to accommodate your wishes, although we do recommend that you book your treatments in advance.

What is your pricing policy?

All prices are subject to change. in certain instances, our fee schedule may change before the pricing on our website or menu of services changes. thus, please confirm the price for your treatment with our reservationists when booking your appointment. Product refunds must be done within 10 days of purchase with original receipt.

How does the tipping process work? What is normal?

Our prices do not include gratuities for Salon/Spa service providers. Tipping is optional, but if the service meets or exceeds your expectations it is definitely appreciated. The industry standard is 15 – 20% of your total service fee.

What is your cancellation policy?

Providing outstanding service is the core of our business. Because Salon and Spa services are reserved especially for you, we ask that you notify us 24 hours in advance to change or cancel appointments without penalty. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. Spa packages and groups must give a minimum 48 hour cancellation notice.

Do you accommodate late arrivals?

We pride ourselves on providing service to all of our clients in a timely and professional manner. Your promptness is greatly appreciated and required to properly serve you. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged. Your spa experience is your time and you should delight in it to the fullest.

What is the difference between highlights/balayage?

The difference between highlights and balayage is that highlights almost always use foils whereas balayage is more of a visual hand-painted technique. Balayage will always give a more subtle result than traditional highlights.

What is color correction?

Color Correction is meant to fix a color service that had undesirable results. Most people can understand that a color correction is needed for brassy, orange highlights, or at-home color. that came out differently than desired (picture green or jet black hair instead of medium brown).

How do I choose the right treatments and products?

We offer complimentary consultations and can make recommendations to fit your wants and needs. Whether you are looking for a skin care product line to use at home or have specific needs for a salon or spa treatment, we are always available to answer your questions.

What can I expect from my service provider during my salon or spa treatment?

Your service provider will consult with you prior to the service to find out your goals and preferences and can make recommendations if appropriate. She or he will let you know what to expect and will find out if you have any special needs or concerns.

What should I wear for a spa or salon treatment?

No special clothing is required; come as you are! This is completely up to you. Many people choose to undress completely for spa services such as massage or facials, others choose to leave on their underwear or wear a bathing suit. Prior to your massage or facial, your therapist will exit the room for you to get completely comfortable. During a massage treatment, we use a draping technique in which the therapist will use a sheet to cover the entire body except for the area being treated. During your facial, you’ll be wearing a wrap under the sheet that allows your neck, arms and décolleté to be exposed for treatment. If you are enjoying several services, you will be provided with a robe and slippers. Your personal comfort is always most important to us!

What is proper spa etiquette?

Cloud 9 Spa area is an adult environment of relaxation and tranquility.  To ensure a serene and relaxing experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that you silence your cell phone upon arrival at the spa and refrain from taking phone calls while in the spa.  Please be courteous with your phone.

Do you allow children in the Spa?

Children are welcome as long as they are scheduled for services. If not, we ask that you respect the other guests’ peace and quiet by leaving your children at home. This also allows you time for yourself to enjoy your services.

What if I’ve never had a massage, facial or nail treatment before?

No worries. Our expert staff will walk you through the treatment, explaining what you’ll be experiencing every step of the way from beginning to end.

What about communicating with my therapist or esthetician?

At Cloud 9 Salon and Spa we specialize in customized treatments that are based on each individual client’s needs. All aspects of our services can be customized, so please let your therapist know if you feel any discomfort or would like special attention to a particular area. Also, feel free to ask questions. The best experience always comes from honest, open communication with your therapist and esthetician.

Can I wear makeup during my facial or body treatment?

During facials, your esthetician will remove your make-up for you.

How will my skin look right after a facial?

You will leave with glowing skin. However, most facials come with extractions, so some redness may occur.

Can I get a facial the day of an event?

Yes, we do recommend facials prior to an event for even more beautiful skin. This facial would not concentrate on extractions, so be sure to let your esthetician know.

What is the difference between Swedish & Deep Tissue massage?

Swedish massage is a luxurious massage technique that melts the muscles and the mind using long fluid strokes with varying pressure to improve muscle tone, circulation and joint flexibility. This type of massage is generally less intensive than a deep tissue massage. a fusion between Swedish massage and Structural massage, our Deep Tissue massage relieves aches and pains that are stored in the deepest parts of the muscles. This is perfect for working out knots and alleviating stubborn tension and soreness.

What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent eyelash extensions comprised of individual synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. Our lashes are thicker at the base and taper to a fine point. They are applied onto individual eyelashes, one extension at a time, for a natural, elegant look to lengthen and add fullness to the existing lashes. Eyelash Extensions are for professional application only.

What do Eyelash Extensions look like?

Eyelash Extensions look and feel completely real. Each application is customized to suit the individual. We offer several thicknesses of lashes and different curls and lengths. Eyelash Extensions come in variety of colors for highlighting effects, but most people prefer black. Varying individual synthetic lash lengths are chosen to carefully replicate the shape and frame of your natural lash line. The thickness of the Eyelash Extensions is determined by the health and thickness of your natural lashes as well as your personal preference. The overall effect is added curl, thickness and length.
